Meadow of Memories 06/10/2011
Cool and wet is the soil As I rest against a tree Looking over a meadow Calm and sweet as can be Wisps of my flowing hair Sweep across my face As the breeze in the air Blows with such grace Ears sticking up in the grass Out hops a brown bunny His eyes like black glass Here in the day so sunny Clouds drift high overhead Fluffy and white, blue behind Makes me think of what you said That together our hearts are twined I wish that you had never gone I know your Father is with you But my heart did grow so fond Of everything you’d say and do In the meadow, by the tree On the clouds floats our love Deep and true as it can be I just have to go above It is not yet my time to go So I will endure what I must There’s a plan, He told me so In Him, I will put all my trust Our memories I do cherish With each day passing by Sweet and tender blissfulness Fills my hearts and eyes I come to this meadow often To clear my heart and mind A word to you, I do send “Dear, is it yet my time?” “No, sweetheart,” You say. “Just follow your faith. You’ll know on that day. It’ll take away your pain.” Never do I grow weary Waiting by this tree When things are blurry It keeps me company So much better I always feel When visiting the meadow To get away from the frills To looks out nature’s window Add Comment Under Construction!! 07/28/2010
